GREATER BENTONVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: 2022 Build Bentonville Lunch Q2 - Attainable Housing

Housingfund

Greater Bentonville Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 27.

Bentonville’s population increased 53% from 2010 to 2020 and the NWA population is expected to double in approximately 20 years.

Teachers, firefighters, health care workers, manufacturing workers and other Bentonville residents face increasing obstacles in finding housing at attainable rates relative to their incomes. This results in added sprawl to outlying areas which has numerous negative consequences such as more traffic, declining green space and adverse consequences on the natural environment.

So where do we go from here?

Come and join us for a panel discussion including Monique Pierre, CEO for Partners for Better Housing. Monique has spent over two decades studying, practicing and advocating for development of attainable housing and providing solutions for communities facing housing challenges.

Together we will discuss what measures are available and what role we can play.
