Cost of college went up for all students at Academy of Professional Cosmetology

Tuition and fees rose 14.8 percent for 2018-19 at Academy of Professional Cosmetology, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Arkansas students paid $10,470 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $1,350 more than the $9,120 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 4 students received grants or scholarships totaling $23,680 and 4 students took out student loans totaling more than $20,096.

Including all undergraduates (77), 42 students used grants or scholarships totaling $179,595, and 35 students took out $228,843 in federal student loans.
