The Arkansas Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and the Startup Junkie Foundation present this free seminar “Introduction to Government Contracting.” Businesses can diversify their revenues and customer base by expanding into sales to the government via the bidding and contracting process. The Arkansas PTAC is part of a national network of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers working to help small businesses compete successfully in the government marketplace, and its mission is to assist Arkansas small businesses to succeed in obtaining government contracts.

This presentation covers federal, state, and local procurement processes; how to register for the bidding process; business requirements; the role of certifications; sales and marketing strategies; and steps you can take now to begin positioning yourself for eventual success in the government marketplace. Cities, Counties, Universities and Colleges, States, and the Federal Government all contract with small businesses for services and every type of products and goods.

Come let presenter Kimberly Randle, PTAC Counselor of the Northwest Arkansas office in Bentonville, walk you through the government bidding and contracting process to see if it can assist you in growing your business. You can also make an appointment to meet with her in the future for further one-on-one assistance at her office at the NWACC campus afterward, always free of charge for all Arkansas business owners.
