CITY OF ROGERS: Meet MPO Jennifer Johncox!

21a

Jennifer Johncox | CITY OF ROGERS

Jennifer Johncox | CITY OF ROGERS

Jennifer gets to protect and serve every day as the Domestic Violence Coordinator for the Rogers Police Department. In this role, she stands in the gap to assist those who need help out of bad situation or have been victimized by those closest to them. She has been with RPD for 4 years.

Jennifer came to this area in 2014 after some time in the military. Originally from New Jersey, she immediately adored the people and the community. She got to know many people with her first job in Rogers, delivering mail for the US Postal Service. The USPS didn’t scratch the same public service itch that the military did, so Jennifer decided to put her knowledge of the city streets to use and apply to Rogers Police Department.

Her role as the Domestic Violence Coordinator is important to the City of Rogers. Domestic violence makes up a relatively high percentage of reported crimes in Rogers. The role is meaningful to her, because she feels she can relate and empathize with those she serves. She sees the similarities between her own past and many of the cases she deals with. The best part of the job for her is getting needed help for children who have experienced trauma.

Jennifer is a true sports mom. Her free time is wrapped up in supporting her kid’s pursuits. Her daughter is active in band and plays softball, and her son is a football and baseball player. She does find time for herself and likes to paint. On good days, her kids will even grab a brush and a canvas and paint with her.

We appreciate your service to the Rogers community MPO Johncox! Thanks for all you do!
