PC of Bella Vista Presbyterian Church issued the following announcement on May 15.
Everyone is invited to a new Bible study, “Short Stories by Jesus” by Amy-Jill Levine. Amy-Jill Levine analyzes these “problems with parables,” taking readers back in time to understand how their original Jewish audience understood them. Levine reveals the parables’ connections to first-century economic and agricultural life, social customs and morality, Jewish scriptures and Roman culture. This 6-week study will meet on Thursdays beginning on Thursday, April 28 through June 2 at 3 pm in Classroom C. Books are $10 each.
