CITY OF BENTONVILLE: Public Feedback Meeting Streets and Drainage

City of Bentonville issued the following announcement on April 14.

The City of Bentonville Engineering Department is conducting a Public Feedback Meeting to discuss the proposed drainage and street construction projects listed below. The public is invited to ask questions, view plans, and provide comments. Please visit bentonvillebond.com for more information regarding the proposed drainage and street improvement projects.

Location: Walmart Room - Bentonville Public Library - 405 S Main Street, Bentonville, AR

Time: 4:30pm – 6:00pm

Date: Thursday, April 21th, 2022

The following projects will be available for comment, with Engineering Department staff available to answer any questions.

Drainage Projects:

Greenhouse Rd Regional Detention This project will improve the drainage along Little Osage Creek Tributary 2 between Greenhouse Rd and SW Featherston Rd. This includes 3 berms that will blend into the natural features of the area. Bike trails are proposed in the area to connect to 28th Street Park, which is located East of Featherston Road.

NW Trails End & C This project consists of replacing and extending the stormwater collection system near the NW Trails End and NW C St intersection.

Street Projects:

SW 14th St & Been Rd – Turnbridge Dr Intersection This project will add improvements to the SW 14th St & Been Rd – Turnbridge Dr intersection, including a dedicated northbound right-turn lane.

SW 28th St – Featherston Rd to SW I St This project consists of improving approximately 1.28 miles of SW 28th Street between SW Featherston Road and SW I Street by widening existing portions, constructing new portions to provide four lanes with a raised center median, and constructing pedestrian/bicycle facilities.

SW Regional Airport Blvd & SW I St Intersection This project consists of improvements to every leg of the SW Regional Airport Blvd & SW I St intersection. Improvements include right-turn lanes on each approach and a six lane cross-section along Hwy 12/SW Regional Airport Blvd.
