CITY OF BENTONVILLE: Applegate Trail Officially Reopens

Open

City of Bentonville issued the following announcement on Feb. 11.

Bentonville Parks & Recreation is pleased to announce the reopening of Applegate Trail. Due to damage sustained during a significant flood event in April 2021, the hard surface trail has been closed between SW 2nd Street and NW 3rd Street. The completion of recent repairs and restoration will reestablish a vital connection for trail users who wish to enter Coler Mountain Bike Preserve (300 acres).

Applegate Trail, in its entirety, is two miles in length from SW 8th Street to the north end of Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, running continuously through the preserve. It serves as a primary bike and pedestrian trail connection for Bentonville residents and visitors alike.
