St. Mary Church - Siloam Springs issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.
Recently, another round of SCAM E-MAILS has gone out impersonating Father Salvador. These scam emails use a fake “gmail” account and even include a picture of him. One of these is particularly insidious, since it references a priest being diagnosed with COVID-19 (which is false), in an attempt to scare the recipient into thinking that Bishop Taylor needs immediate financial help. It should go without saying that Father Salvador will NEVER contact anyone personally asking for gift cards, money, or other financial assistance. Please do not respond to any such emails; delete them immediately.
