PC OF BELLA VISTA PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH: Helping Refugees Resettle in NWA

Hands

PC of Bella Vista Presbyterian Church issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.

According to the United Nations, there are over 24 million refugees worldwide. One of the best way to address a problem on this scale is to focus on helping one family at a time. That is what the Fayetteville based Canopy organization does, our state’s only group devoted to ongoing refugee resettlement. We have a PCBV group that has been supporting Canopy since its beginning. They have provided welcome kits for new arrivals, working with sister churches to help resettle refugee families. If you are interested in joining our group to help Canopy, which is expecting to place 150 Afghan refugees and 200 arrivals from other countries this year, please contact Brien Hodge (858-603-4638).
