City of Centerton issued the following announcement Nov. 6.

Here is the cause of the power outage apparently a oversized load on a truck had struck this pole somehow causing it to snap, please avoid Main Street while the Centerton Police Department and Centerton Fire Department work to clear the scene, Swepco is aware and working to restore current time is 1pm to restore.

Also the traffic signal at Main Street is out due to the power outage so please stop at the intersection and use caution, the light will be reset when the power comes back.

Also as a side note this is the 2nd Accident involving power lines in the past several months,I have written a email to ARDOT since this is a state highway to see if we can restrict oversized loads on this route.
