Census Bureau: 77.9 percent of people in Jefferson County were old enough to vote in 2019

Of the 69,282 citizens living in Jefferson County in 2019, 53,990 were old enough to vote as of Feb. 11, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 27,595 of those people were female and 26,395 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
