Rep. Steve Womack, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Arkansas’ 3rd district, has been active on social media, providing updates on legislative initiatives and constituent engagement activities. His recent posts reflect a broad range of interests, from economic measures to educational opportunities.
On May 1, 2025, Womack announced a legislative proposal, “ICYMI, I introduced the Duty Drawback Clarification Act to give American whiskey makers a fair shot at exporting their liquid gold.” He emphasized that this measure would enable distillers to benefit from a duty drawback program similar to that of beer, wine, and other spirit industries, thus strengthening the U.S. economy.
Later that afternoon, Womack addressed younger constituents with an announcement about educational opportunities, stating ” Attention all young coders and tech wizards! The Congressional App Challenge is now open to middle and high school students in Arkansas’s Third District.” This initiative encourages students to apply their computer science and coding abilities for innovation.
In a separate update, Womack shared his personal reflections, stating “Like every morning, I bowed my head in gratitude, thanking the Lord for His many blessings, and humbly lifted up our nation in prayer.” He further expressed his wish for divine guidance for leaders to set a path toward prosperity.
Rep. Steve Womack, who has served since 2011, continues representing Arkansas’ 3rd district. Born in Russellville, Arkansas, in 1957, Womack graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1979 with a BA and presently resides in Rogers.
