On May 14, 2025, Rep. Womack expressed gratitude to President Biden for approving disaster aid for Arkansas following severe storms and tornadoes that occurred in March. He emphasized the importance of this support for families and businesses rebuilding across the state. “Thank you @POTUS for approving critical disaster aid for Arkansas following the devastating March storms and tornadoes. This support is essential as families and businesses across our state continue to rebuild.”
Later that day, Rep. Womack announced his leadership role at a hearing of the House Appropriations Committee’s Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Subcommittee with Secretary Duffy of the U.S. Department of Transportation regarding their fiscal year 2026 budget request. In another post on May 14th, Rep. Womack highlighted a poignant moment during the same subcommittee hearing where Tim and Sheri Lilley attended as guests. They are parents of First Officer Sam Lilley from Flight 5342 involved in a tragic collision at DCA airport.
