Rep. Steve Womack, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arkansas’ 3rd district since 2011, has recently shared his views on several topics via social media. Born in Russellville, Arkansas in 1957 and currently residing in Rogers, Womack has been an active voice on various issues.
On May 8, 2025, Rep. Womack expressed his criticism of a recent Department of Defense initiative. “The DOD Inspector General just confirmed what we knew all along: The Biden Administration’s $230 million operation to build a floating pier to Gaza was foolish and costly,” he stated. He highlighted that the operation lasted only 20 days, delivered minimal aid, and resulted in the death of an American soldier.
The following day, May 9, Rep. Womack congratulated Bri Ellis for receiving recognition as the SEC Player of the Year. “Earned and deserved,” he commented while extending his congratulations to Ellis.
Also on May 9, Rep. Womack paid tribute to his wife Terri on Military Spouse Appreciation Day through a heartfelt message acknowledging her support during his three-decade-long service in the Arkansas National Guard. “Throughout my 30 years in the Arkansas National Guard, one person was always by my side—my wife, Terri,” he wrote.
Steve Womack graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a BA in 1979 and succeeded John Boozman as a congressman in 2011.
