In a series of social media posts, Representative Steve Womack, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress for Arkansas’ 3rd district since replacing John Boozman in 2011, shared updates on a variety of topics relating to his constituency and national affairs.
On April 29, 2025, Womack urged residents of Benton County to take immediate shelter as inclement weather posed a risk to public safety. He emphasized to “prioritize your safety and protect your loved ones.”
Later that day, he expressed his admiration for students from Bentonville West High School for their national recognition in a prestigious STEM competition. Womack mentioned that it was a pleasure to meet the “brilliant students […] who earned national recognition for creating a free mobile app that can diagnose oral cancer.” The students’ success earned them a place as national finalists in the #SolveForTomorrow competition.
Concluding the day, Womack congratulated Warren Stephens, a fellow Arkansan, on his confirmation as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Womack expressed confidence that Stephens will “enhance our countries’ special relationship as President Trump’s representative.” Warren Stephens’ confirmation marks a significant development in U.S.-UK diplomatic relations.
Steve Womack was born in Russellville, Arkansas in 1957 and resides in Rogers. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1979 with a BA.
