Rep. Steve Womack, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Arkansas’ 3rd district, has shared several statements on social media highlighting important national observances and upcoming federal requirements. Born in Russellville, Arkansas, Womack has been an active political figure since he replaced John Boozman in 2011.
On May 5, 2025, Womack emphasized the significance of small businesses during a week dedicated to celebrating America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. He noted their role in job creation and economic strengthening: “This week, we celebrate America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners who create jobs and strengthen our economy. I’ve seen the impact of these small businesses firsthand in the Third District and am actively working to put in place polices that foster growth on Main Street.”
Later that day, Womack reminded his constituents about the impending enforcement of the REAL ID Act starting May 7, 2025. This act requires individuals to have a REAL ID to board domestic flights or enter federal buildings: “Are you REAL ID ready? Starting this Wednesday, May 7, 2025, a REAL ID will be required to board domestic flights and enter federal buildings. Don’t wait and get yours today:”
On May 6, 2025, Rep. Womack acknowledged National Nurses Day by expressing gratitude for nurses across America: “Happy National Nurses Day! Today, we recognize the dedication, compassion, and sacrifice of nurses across America. From caring for patients in their most vulnerable moments to improving health nationwide, nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system. Thank you for all you do.”
Womack graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979.
