Rep. Steve Womack, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Arkansas’ 3rd district since 2011, recently shared his insights on various topics via social media posts dated May 15, 2025.
In a post on May 15, Womack highlighted discussions with the U.S. Department of Transportation regarding Biden-era grants. He mentioned that “@USDOT @SecDuffy and his team are carefully reviewing Biden-era grants to ensure they benefit the American people.” This was part of a hearing conducted by the House Appropriations Committee’s Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD) Subcommittee.
On the same day, Womack paid tribute to law enforcement officers on Peace Officers Memorial Day. He expressed his respect for those who have died in service by stating “On #PeaceOfficersMemorialDay, we honor the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.”
Additionally, during a Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee oversight hearing on May 15, Rep. Womack questioned FTC Chairman Ferguson about workforce management and regulatory practices at the agency. He queried “how the agency plans to rein in its bloated workforce, restore fiscal health, and eliminate harmful regulations that stifle competition.”
Steve Womack has been an influential figure since replacing John Boozman in Congress in 2011. Born in Russellville, Arkansas in 1957 and residing in Rogers, he holds a BA from Arkansas Tech University.
