Rep. Steve Womack, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Arkansas’ 3rd district since 2011, shared several updates on his legislative activities and engagements via social media.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Womack discussed his participation in a session with White House OMB Director Russ Vought. He questioned Vought during his testimony before the House Appropriations Committee about addressing fiscal concerns by adjusting mandatory spending levels. “Today, I questioned White House OMB Director @russvought during his testimony before @HouseAppropsGOP about how we can get our fiscal house in order by rightsizing our massive mandatory spending problem.”
Later that day, he highlighted a meeting with state transportation officials regarding infrastructure needs specific to Northwest Arkansas. “Always great to talk to our state transportation officials about the infrastructure needs in Northwest Arkansas!”
In another update from June 4, Rep. Womack announced the passage of the SUPPORT Act in the House, emphasizing its role in combating the opioid crisis through overdose prevention measures and community support for substance use disorder management. “The SUPPORT Act has officially passed the House with my support. This bill fights the opioid crisis, invests in overdose prevention, and equips communities to tackle substance use disorders.”
Rep. Womack was born in Russellville, Arkansas in 1957 and currently resides in Rogers. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1979 with a BA.
