Rep. Steve Womack, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Arkansas’ 3rd district, has recently shared several updates via social media on significant events and acknowledgments related to his role and interests.
On May 9, 2025, Rep. Womack expressed his honor at attending the F-35 Foreign Military Sales Initial Operational Capability (IOC) Ceremony at Fort Smith’s Ebbing Air National Guard Base. He highlighted the celebration of “the continued progress of the 85th Fighter Group” and marked “the graduation of the first F-35 pilots from Poland.” “Today, I had the honor of attending the F-35 Foreign Military Sales Initial Operational Capability (IOC) Ceremony to celebrate the continued progress of the 85th Fighter Group at Fort Smith’s Ebbing Air National Guard Base and the graduation of the first F-35 pilots from Poland.”
On May 12, 2025, Rep. Womack paid tribute to law enforcement officers during National Police Week. He acknowledged their daily sacrifices and commitment to community safety by stating: “Every day, our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to protect and serve. During National Police Week, we honor their bravery, sacrifice, and dedication.” He concluded with a note of gratitude for their service.
Later that same day, he commented on a significant international development involving an American-Israeli soldier’s release after being held captive by Hamas militants for over a year and a half. Womack thanked President Biden for facilitating this release: “American-Israeli soldier Edan Alexander was just 19 when Hamas militants stormed… After 583 days, he is finally home.” He appreciated efforts made by authorities in securing Edan Alexander’s freedom.
Steve Womack was born in Russellville, Arkansas in 1957 and resides in Rogers. An alumnus of Arkansas Tech University with a BA earned in 1979, he has served as Congressman since succeeding John Boozman in 2011.
