Rep. Steve Womack, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Arkansas’ 3rd district, shared a series of tweets on May 6, 2025, addressing various topics including education, military efforts, and healthcare challenges.
In his first tweet of the day, Rep. Womack recognized National Teacher Day by expressing gratitude towards educators across the nation. He stated: “Happy National Teacher Day! Our nation’s educators are invaluable, shaping future minds with dedication and patience. Thank you to all teachers—past, present, and future—for your tireless efforts.”
Later that day, Rep. Womack attended a House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee oversight hearing where General David W. Allvin commended Fort Smith’s Ebbing Air National Guard Base for its role in the Foreign Military Sales F-35 Pilot program. In his tweet regarding this event, he noted: “At today’s @HouseAppropsGOP Defense Subcommittee oversight hearing, @OfficialCSAF General David W. Allvin commended Fort Smith’s Ebbing Air National Guard Base and the Fort Smith community for their outstanding efforts in standing up the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) F-35 Pilot.”
Concluding his social media activity for the day, Rep. Womack highlighted discussions with healthcare professionals about challenges they face and potential solutions to improve health outcomes for Arkansas families. Steve Womack has been a member of Congress since 2011 after succeeding John Boozman. Born in Russellville in 1957 and residing in Rogers, he graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a BA in 1979.
