On Sunday, April 6, former Bentonville High School standout JJ Spafford’s current college team, the Pittsburg State Gorillas, won 5-1 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Newman Jets.
The game took place at McCarthy Field. This was their third matchup against the Jets this season.
The Gorillas’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at 5 p.m. at Al Ortolani Field against Missouri State Lions.
