On Saturday, May 17, former Bentonville High School standout JJ Spafford’s current collegiate team the Pittsburg State Gorillas lost 11-5 against the Arkansas–Monticello Boll Weevils in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at ISG Field at 4 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Arkansas–Monticello Boll Weevils in the tournament.

The Pittsburg State Gorillas’ next game will take place on Sunday, May 18 at 4 p.m. at ISG Field.
